Hey there, hi there, ho there! It's ya bois, the Sultans, back on their bullshit.
Have the Sultans become jaded and sad?
Does Geko avoid going on an extended rant?
What effect does a fresh infusion of whiskey have on the Episode?
I honestly can't remember if any of these questions get answered, but it's still a fucking great show. Enjoy!
It's time! It's Time! It's Royal Rumble time!
This carefully curated selection of insights, jokes, and self-incriminations is brought to you by the Sultans of Spandex.
I'd be shocked if anyone reads these. Who reads the show notes for a podcast? I know I do, but I don't believe anyone else does.
Shout me out in the chat if you've read these show notes.
So... what happened on THIS Episode of the Sultans of Spandex WCW Review Podcast?
Hmmm... ::checks notes::
Looks like we got Joe Blake's strong defense of Lex Luger
How Akira Hokuto is just like FF7
Gary Early joins the Nitro Report
And Joey Geko goes off on a rant that not even the combined powers of his 2 co-host can contain
And as always check out our homies at 20 Years of Nitro
Are you afraid of the dark? Do you know any scary stories to tell in the dark?
Did you ever hear the story of Hulk Hogan the Hollywood? I thought not. It's not a story the WCW would tell you. It's an nWo legend. Hollywood was a Third Man of the nWo, so powerful and so wise he could use the Pencil to influence the WCW Executive Committee to create matches... He had such a knowledge of the booking that he could even keep the ones he cared about from jobbing. The nWo is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... The only thing he was afraid of was losing his heat, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his Big Man everything he knew, then his Big Man pinned him in his sleep. It's ironic he could save others from losing, but not himself.
This is usually where I write something vaguely clever, or try to be anyway.
But Episode 24 is so good that I don't even need to.
The nWo are here, and Our World Is About To Change!
What's Joey Geko's dream-life like lately? What was Gary's wrestling name? Which inanimate object will take Joe's MVP this Episode?
All these questions...AND MORE will be answered as we travel to Sturgis for WCW inaugural Hog Wild PPV.
Correction: Joey Geko mistakenly claimed that Sub-Zero appeared maskless in MK2, when he should have said MK3
